Mystic Hymnal exists to create music & gatherings that awaken divine union.

Our mission is to create and curate music that is singable, beautiful, and kind.

We live in a moment in history where we are paradoxically more disconnected than ever — despite spending unprecedented amounts of time trying to connect through our screens. The result is a widespread pandemic of loneliness and a growing sense of mental, emotional, and spiritual dis-ease.

We believe that in-person community is essential — both for our individual wellbeing and for our collective evolution. Yet many of the institutions that once held our communal life, such as traditional religious structures, no longer serve many of us. How do we connect deeply without restrictive dogma or “us vs. them” thinking? How do we sing the music of the heart without relying on separation-based language that reinforces ego more than love?

This is what Mystic Hymnal is here for.

Founded by Michael Gungor, Mystic Hymnal brings together musicians, writers, and spiritual adventurers to remember who we truly are—together—through the power of shared voice. Through retreats, live events, songwriting circles, and a growing library of accessible hymns, we are creating a space where modern spirituality and ancient communal singing meet.
